Adventures of a New Missionary
This is a new life for me. Yes, I was raised here thus many things are familiar. But I've returned as an adult, a missionary in my own right. So there are many things that are new. Since pictures are worth a thousand words, come along on my journey with me.
#5 - I Love Being in Ministry#3 - Before Pictures of My HouseI was given permission to live in a small, 1 bedroom home on the mission center. Unfortunately it was heavily damaged in Hurricane Matthew, 18 months before. The home was unoccupied at the time and repairs had been started but had come to a standstill. These are the pictures as it was then. An interesting fact about this home...it is where my dad lived when he was here as a single missionary, 1981-1983, before he and my mom were married.

#6 - Missionary Life, Up Close and Personal#4 - After Pictures of My HouseAfter I was assigned the house, RMI was able to fast track the many repairs that needed doing. It took almost 2 months until I was finally able to move in. Unpacking was kind of like Christmas, discovering things that had been packed for anywhere from a few months ago to 2 years. I've found that there is a place for every piece of furniture that I brought! I love my new home!
